Specialist Plastic Surgeon Dr Robert Drielsma offers a range of cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures in Sydney. Dr Drielsma is a fully qualified Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, MBBS BSc(Med) FRACS.

Dr Drielsma is a member of The Australian Society of plastic surgeons and the Australian Society of Aesthetic plastic surgeons. (see qualifications).

Dr Drielsma’s practice is based in Bondi Junction in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs with easy access by rail or road. Dr Drielsma also conducts consulting clinics in Wagga Wagga, Camden and Canberra.

Meet our Specialist Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Robert Drielsma MBBS, BSc(Med), FRACS (AHPRA MED 0001073756)

Dr Drielsma is an Australian trained fully qualified plastic and reconstructive surgeon specialising in cosmetic surgery of the face, breasts and body.

His basic medical degree was completed at the University of Sydney in 1982. During this time he also completed a Bachelor of Science degree. Plastic Cosmetic Surgeon Dr Drielsma underwent a further 14 years training following medical school before commencing private practice.

  • What does FRACS mean?

    FRACS means Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. The distinction is only awarded to specialist surgeons who have completed formal surgical training under the auspices of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.  Only FRACS graduates may use the title of “specialist Surgeon” which are formal titles recognised by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).  To become a specialist plastic surgeon (FRACS) requires a minimum of 12 years medical and surgical education, including at least 5 years of specialist postgraduate training. A Specialist Plastic Surgeon with the letters “FRACS” appearing after his or her name is accredited to perform invasive reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery.
